What is punchline?

A daily joke app. You get 25 jokes every morning. Swipe right (HA), left (NAH), up (MAYBE), or down to UNDO your last swipe. Your deck resets at midnight.

Is it free?

Yes, punchline is free to use. The free version gives you 25 jokes a day and saves your last 10 HA's. punchline Pro is a one-time $5 purchase that unlocks your full HA history and the ability to load 10 more jokes after the daily deck runs out.

What's the difference between free and Pro?

Free: 25 jokes/day. Save last 10 HA's in the drawer.

Pro ($5 one-time payment): full HA history, load 10 more jokes when your deck runs out.

Where are my jokes and HA's stored?

Everything is stored in your browser's local storage on your device. Nothing is sent to a server. That means your data is private, but it's also tied to the device and browser you're using. See below for what happens if you clear your browser cache or switch devices.

What happens if I clear my browser or switch devices?

Your jokes, HA's, and settings will be gone on that device. They live in browser storage, not the cloud. If you bought Pro, you can restore access on a new device by using the email you purchased with. Your HA history itself can't be recovered once the storage is cleared.

I paid but Pro is not activated. What do I do?

This can happen on mobile when the payment opens in a different browser than the app. Open the app, tap the HA counter at the top then tap Restore Pro at the bottom of that drawer. Enter the email address you used at checkout and Pro will activate. Let us know if you have any issues

How do I restore Pro on a new device or browser?

Open the app, tap the HA counter at the top to open your saved jokes, then tap Restore Pro at the bottom. Enter the email address you used to purchase Pro and your access will be restored.

Who writes the jokes?

Your daily deck is a mix of jokes from jokeapi.dev, icanhazdadjoke.com, and a hand-curated set built into the app. The source label on each card tells you where it came from.

Is there an iOS or Android app?

Not in the App Store or Play Store. punchline is a progressive web app. Open it in a browser on your phone, tap share, then "Add to Home Screen." You may be able to open it the browser and tap "Install." It'll look and feel like a native app.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 7 days of purchase. Email support@ehzie.com with your purchase email and allow a few days for the refund to process. See our Refund Policy for full details.
