1. What Daybreak is

Daybreak is a personal Bible reading app. It helps you read one chapter a day, build a reading streak, track your progress, and save highlights. It is available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) installable on any device.

2. Free and Pro tiers

Free tier - The core reading experience includes check-ins, streaks, highlights, and local data storage, plusy your first badge. No account is needed.

Pro tier ($14.99/year) - Includes everything in Free, plus the full badge collection, cross-device sync (Google Firebase), and audio reading. Your reading progress, highlights, and streaks are backed up to your account and accessible on any device you sign in to.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing for new subscribers with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers keep their rate until their subscription renews.

3. Payment and billing

Pro subscriptions are billed annually through LemonSqueezy (lemonsqueezy.com). By subscribing, you agree to LemonSqueezy's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Your subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel before the renewal date. LemonSqueezy will send a renewal reminder before each charge.

Trial period: 14 days. No charge until the trial ends. Cancel any time during the trial and you will not be billed.

Refund policy: Full refund within 14 days of your first payment. See our Refund Policy.

4. Cancellation

Cancel your Pro subscription any time through the LemonSqueezy customer portal (linked in your subscription email). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep Pro access until then.

After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free tier. Your data (progress, highlights) is retained and accessible locally. You will lose access to cloud sync and it will no longer update.

5. Your data

Your reading progress, check-in history, highlights, and settings belong to you. We do not claim any rights over your personal reading data.

You can export your data at any time using the backup feature in Menu → Settings (desktop only). You can delete all data via Reset All Data in the same menu. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

Daybreak is for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:

• Attempt to scrape, copy, or redistribute the app's code or content at scale
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable law
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the service

7. Service availability

We aim to keep Daybreak reliable and available. We make no guarantee of uptime. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time and will give reasonable notice of significant changes.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Daybreak is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for loss of data, interruption of service, or any other damages arising from use of the app.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Daybreak if you violate these terms. You may stop using the app at any time.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this document. Continued use of Daybreak after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
